Why this site exists

In a hospital you get eight minutes with someone. You can make a decision in eight minutes. You cannot explain one. So people leave with a prescription, a diagnosis they half heard, and a phone full of search results that contradict each other and end in a supplement ad.

What I kept noticing was that the gap was almost never knowledge. The information exists. It is just written either for doctors or for advertisers, and almost never for the person actually holding the lab report. This library is an attempt to write the third version: accurate enough that a colleague would not wince, plain enough that your mother could follow it.

What occupational health taught me

Running medical services for a manufacturing workforce changed how I think about health advice. In a clinic, you tell someone to avoid the heat. On a plant floor, that is not a piece of advice. It is a rota, a water station, an acclimatisation schedule, and a supervisor who knows what heat exhaustion looks like before someone drops.

Health advice that ignores how people actually live and work is entertainment. So most of what I write asks a second question after the medicine: given your shift, your job, your budget and your access to care, what can you realistically do on Monday?

How I work with people online

I am licensed internationally. Licensing is national for a good reason: a doctor who cannot examine you or follow you up should not be directing your treatment.

So the sessions I offer are deliberately built as something else: education, translation and preparation. I will read your results properly and explain them. I will tell you what I think the reasonable possibilities are and why. I will help you build the list of questions that makes your next fifteen minutes with your own doctor count. What I will not do is diagnose you from a screen or tell you what to take.

Principles

Four rules this site runs on

No sponsors, ever

No supplement affiliates, no sponsored posts, no paid placements. If something is recommended, it is because of the evidence.

Dated and reviewed

Every guide carries the date it was last reviewed. Medicine changes; undated health content is a warning sign.

Honest about uncertainty

Where the evidence is weak, it says so. "We do not really know" is a legitimate answer and far more useful than a confident guess.

Safety before engagement

Every guide names the point at which you should stop reading and see someone. That comes before anything else on the page.
