What causes frequent nosebleeds?

Dry air, nose picking, forceful blowing, allergy sprays used wrong and blood-thinning medicines cause nearly all of them; the fragile vessels sit just inside the front of the nose.
Stop one properly: lean forward, pinch the soft part firmly for ten unbroken minutes, cold on the neck helps. Prevention: humidify, saline spray, petroleum jelly just inside the nostril, aim steroid sprays outward toward the ear.
Bleeds that soak through despite twenty minutes of pressure need emergency care. Frequent bleeds plus easy bruising, or in anyone on blood thinners, deserve a blood check and medication review.
