Getting started

What is AskDoc?

A doctor-run health site. Read 148 plain-language guides, use 15 free tools, follow guided workouts, keep a free health record, and when you want a doctor personally, book a written answer or a session. 6,000+ verified doctors and certified coaches are behind it.

What is free?

Almost everything: every guide, every tool, the workouts, the news, the Q&A, your health record, goals, streaks and the leaderboard. You pay only when a doctor works on your case personally, and every price is shown before you ask.

Do I need an account?

No. Every tool works without one. A free account adds the memory: saved readings, trends, daily goals, streaks, milestones and your care link.

How do I create an account?

Go to My health and continue with Google, or use your email with a password or a one-time code. It takes under a minute and there is nothing to pay.

Your health record

What can I track?

Blood pressure, blood sugar, weight and BMI, heart rate, breath hold, calm breathing and daily fitness goals. Each save builds a trend chart on your dashboard.

How do I save a reading?

Use any checker, and a Save to my profile button appears with your result when you are signed in. Saved readings show as trends on My health.

Can I connect my watch or tracker?

Yes. Strava connects directly on the Connect page, and Fitbit, Apple Health and Garmin exports are read privately in your browser. Nothing from your tracker is uploaded or stored.

How do I delete a reading or my account?

Every saved reading has a delete button on your dashboard. To remove your whole account and its data, email [email protected] and it is done.

Goals, streaks and the leaderboard

How do daily goals work?

Four small goals a day: move 20 minutes, finish a guided workout, choose water, stretch 5 minutes. Two earned goals make the day count, and counted days build your streak.

Why do the move and stretch goals run a timer?

Because a streak you can fake is worth nothing. The timer has to finish for the goal to count, and the workout goal only counts when the guided player reaches the end.

What is the flame next to My health?

Your goal streak: the number of days in a row you have earned your goals. It appears from two days up. Miss a day and it resets, which is the point.

What are milestones?

Badges you earn from real activity: first save, first workout, streaks of 3, 7, 14 and 30 days, tracking three different numbers, and more. They live on your dashboard and the fitness page.

How does the leaderboard work?

It ranks counted goal days this month across members, first names only. You appear once you start earning goals; nothing else about you is shown.

Asking a doctor

How do I ask a question for free?

The Questions page takes any health question, free, and answers are published for everyone. For a private answer about your own situation, the written answer is $29.

How do paid sessions work?

You send a request describing what is going on, with no card details. An invoice arrives by email; once paid you pick a time, the doctor reads your reports beforehand, and a written summary follows. If we cannot help, the invoice is canceled.

What does each service cost?

A written answer is $29, skin photo review $39, results review $49, personal diet and fitness plan $99, a 20 minute Clarity Session $79, second opinion preparation $249, and the full written Health Review $499. Members pay 25% less.

How fast are replies?

Written answers, skin reviews and personal plans come within 24 hours. Results reviews take up to 3 working days, and the full Health Review 5 to 7 days.

Can sessions replace my own doctor?

No, and they are not meant to. Sessions are education and preparation: what your results mean and what to ask at your next appointment. Diagnosis and prescriptions stay with a doctor who can examine you.

Which service should I pick if I am not sure?

Pick Not sure yet on the request form and describe what is going on. A human reads every request and suggests the smallest service that answers it, sometimes just a free guide.

Membership

What does membership include?

The Circle is $29 a month: one written question answered monthly ($29 bought alone), the monthly briefing, printable trackers, members-only deep dives and 25% off every session. $299 a year saves two months, and the family plan covers two adults for $49.

How do I cancel?

Two clicks from your account, or one email. No retention flows, no phone calls.

Helping someone you love

Can I use AskDoc for a parent or friend?

Yes. You can fill in any request form on their behalf, sit with them through a session, and share your care link so their first session comes with 20% off.

What is the care link?

Every signed-in member has a personal link on their dashboard. Anyone who arrives through it gets 20% off their first session, and a 20% credit lands on your account as a thank you. Both are applied on the invoice; there are no codes.

Devices and products

Why do you recommend products?

Because patients ask doctors what to buy every day. The picks are the same things doctors tell patients to look for: validated monitors, plain moisturizers, boring supplements with evidence. We take no money from any brand.

Do you earn from the links?

As an Amazon Associate, AskDoc earns from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. It never changes a recommendation; the buying guides tell you what to skip as often as what to get.

Privacy

Who can see my readings and profile?

Only you. Requests you send are seen by the reviewing doctor and our small team, stored securely, never sold and never used for advertising.

Do you show ads or sell data?

No ads, no data sales, no trackers from advertising companies. The site earns from doctor services, membership and honest product links, which is why it can stay clean.

How do I get my data deleted?

Email [email protected] from your account email and everything is removed. Deleting individual readings needs no email; every row has a delete button.

Still stuck? [email protected] reaches a person, not a bot. For workplaces, see health for teams.

In an emergency, do not use this site. Chest pain, trouble breathing, weakness on one side, trouble speaking, heavy bleeding, serious injury, or thoughts of harming yourself: contact your local emergency service now.
